Literary heritage & digital mediation

Vargamäe Museum

A digital encounter with Tammsaare’s literary world, connecting cultural context, learning and a visit to the writer’s childhood home.

Literature, landscape and lived experience.

The A. H. Tammsaare Museum occupies the Estonian writer’s childhood home. Its stories connect literary heritage with the landscape and everyday life that shaped his work. The digital project creates an entry point into that cultural world, not simply a directory of visitor information.

From cultural context to a visit.

The museum’s literary and historical material provides the context. Stories, educational programmes and practical visitor information need to work together, allowing curiosity about an author or a place to become an encounter with the museum itself.

A collaborative digital production.

Kris Haamer / HAAM realised the digital platform, bringing the museum’s material and Anneli Kenk’s visual design into an accessible online experience. The work connects cultural communication with the practical journey of discovering and visiting the museum.
